Raymund Nguy

The reason that I choose to interview my roommate Raymund Nguy is because he is very cool and a nice guy. It is my second quarter living with him and I think he is a sweet guy. He has helped me a lot with my homework and other stuff. He is is a bio major and he told me that he has travel to many places around the world; Italy, China, Machu Pichu Peru, and other states in the U.S.A. He is a very smart student, and he is funny. He is the kind of friend that you can easily ask for a favor. He is energetic and peaceful. I strongly believe that anyone who gets to know him will understand that Raymund Nguy is a great person, and a great friend to have. He is mature, well educated and respectful of others.

CSULA students concerns with the previous election's issues

The students at California State University of Los Angeles had different perspectives according to the issues on the following elections. There were different responds from different Cal State LA students.
College student, who did not give her name, is a pre-nurse major, and it’s her second year at CSULA. She is from japan and she said, “…now on days is harder to get a degree in college.”
CSULA student Albert Hernandez, a transfer student and Business major, mention that what he as concern with the issue of immigration. When asked why he reply, “Why? Because people are being separated from their families and they can’t be together.” Then, after being asked if he or anyone he knew was affected in some way, he reply, “…not directly”.
Melissa Hua, who is an Exercise-Science major, said “Jobs are important, but because the economy is getting lower, if you succeed in your studies you will succeed (in your job carrier).” Hua believes that with an education, you will succeed and get a job in your career.” Studying is hard” she added, but she believes the education is the key to success. She is currently a full time student and she is unemployed.
“Getting your degree is more important” stated Natalie D Jansenzian, “it is hard to buy books and pay for gas.” Currently she is not getting a lot of money from financial aid. She is currently a freshman and Biology major at CSULA. “The most difficult issue is getting a job. Even if we get a degree, it is worthless if we don’t have any jobs that can provide for us and to help us support ourselves.” stated Moses Georgian. Georgian is Biology major and a freshman as CSULA. Currently he is working at sizzler on Saturday only, and he only works five hours. “My boss cut my hours and he is firing workers. I am not sure if I am going to survive one more year here.”
Every student at CSULA is affected differently and in different ways. One if the ways they can change their lives is by voting. Vote!

Mexican Food

Idea for restaurant assingment.
Is to go to King Torta and try out their tortas. Take pictures of the restaurant and the food. Then go to Casita Mexicana restaurant and try their tortas. Take pictures of the restaurant and food. Critic the food and the experience I received as a customer buying a torta from the two restaurants.

Students and the Election.

I had the opportunity to ask a few students here at Cal State Los Angeles about the issues in the following elections that are important to them. I got different answers from each student, because each student is affected differently. These are their comments.

A college student, who is her second year at Cal State Los Angeles, believes that now on days is harder to get a degree in college. Her major is pre-nurse. She is Japanese.

Then, I ask Cal State student Albert Hernandez, a transfer student and Business major, about what issue for the following elections is important to him, and he said that immigration concerns him the most. I asked him, “why?” and he said, “…Because people are being separate from their families and they can’t be together”. I also ask him if he or anyone he knew was affected in some way, but he reply, “…not indirectly.”

When I ask freshman Melissa Hua, who is an Exercise Science mayor, what is the election issues affecting her, she said, “Jobs are important… but because the economy is getting lower… if you succeed in your studies you will succeed.” Melissa believes that with an education, you will succeed and get a job in your career. “Studying is hard” she said, because she believes that education is the key to success. Melissa is currently a full time student and she has is unemployed.

“Getting your degree is more important…” stated Natallie DJansenzian,”… it is hard to buy books and pay for gas.” Currently she is not getting a lot of money from FAFSA. She is currently a freshman and a Biology major here at Cal State Los Angeles.

“The most difficult issue is getting a job, even if we get a degree, is worthless, if we don’t have any jobs that can provide for us and to help support ourselves.” said Moses Georgian. Georgian is Biology major and a freshman student at CSULA. Currently he is working at sizzler on Saturdays only, and he only works five hours. “My boss cut me hours and he is firing workers, I am not sure if I am going to survive one more year here.”

Out of five students and three issues, these results I got. Three students are concern with Education; one is concern with jobs and one with Immigration.

TVF 454

This class seemed to be overwhelming at first. To be honest I never knew what a blog was. It seemed that I didn't catch up with the advancing technology, and now I am excited to be in this class because I want to learn, master and teach the knowledge and skills I get out of this class.
I can't wait for Tuesday's class.

My biography

I was born in Puebla, Mexico in 1987. I came to the United States since I was three. I am a film major in Cal State Los Angeles. I am a super senior and I will be done with school in one year.

I have decided to study film since I was in the third grade. I knew since then that making films was my dream career. I had many difficulties, I had OCD when I was 9 years. I used to wash my hands every few mintues. I also used to daydream a lot, and I decided that I wanted to share my daydreams to the world and film was the way to do that.
My dreams are to make movies different from Hollywood genre that can make audiences think differently from before and to make them see the world in a different way.
